Full-Time Director of Facilities Management
Reports to: EVP & Chief Operating Officer
Lower Manhattan/Flushing QueensNew YorkUnited States Responsibilities:Oversee and manage an entire network of 5 healthcare facilities and 1 administrative site. Responsibilities include: Execute overall maintenance and repair of buildingsConduct and oversee preventative maintenanceEnsure effective systems for logging and tracking of needed inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairsAdminister maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, elevator, plumbing, fire, traffic control, and life safety systemsProduce and manage purchase orders for facilities equipment, furniture, and suppliesManage relationships with external contractors and vendors, and ensure professionalism of contracted work Develop system for evaluation and monitoring of housekeeping and sanitation performanceAbility to develop and execute facility assessments for existing sites along with short and long-term recommendations for infrastructure improvementsFoster and promote a culture of safety across the organizationEnsure that all facilities provide a clean, hazard-free and effective patient care environment and a patient-friendly atmosphereResponsible for equipment safety assessments, code compliance, training programs and mitigation plans. Prepare manuals, administrative guides and staff communication to ensure safe and efficient facilities management servicesResponsible for fire and safety program coordinationWork closely with Clinical Administration department on clinical equipment maintenance when neededOversee the department of facilities staff, including workforce planning, supervision, and professional developmentDirectly supervise facilities managers. Develop systems for prioritizing work orders and timely responses to requests and maintenance Monitor staffing, coverage models, and recruiting/retention of staff Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in Facilities Management or Healthcare Administration preferredBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Engineering10+ years of medical facility experience and familiarity with infection control guidelines preferred10+ years of staff supervisory and management experienceExcellent communication, team building and leadership skills are essentialProfessional certification, affiliation, and/or membership in fields of facilities management, Building Owners and Managers Association, desired
