Full-Time Quality Assurance (QA) Associate

Reports To: Director of Social Work

 
Flushing Queens/Lower Manhattan

Responsibilities:

  • Review each Medicaid application completed by facilitated enrollers, in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy and completeness prior to submission to local Department of Social Services (DSS) 
  • Verify the information provided in the Medicaid application is accurate according to the document provided by the consumer. If any identified inaccurate or unclear information, the QA specialist will ensure the facilitated enroller to correct them prior to submission to DSS
  • Ensure all Medicaid applications are submitted to DSS for eligibility determination adhering to submission timeline
  • Responsible for pickup of applications for review from multiple sites
  • Generate reports of findings from Medicaid application reviews and submit it to the Program Manager
  • Work with the Program Manager to identify improvement areas and develop quality assurance activities and implement them to improve Medicaid application completion quality
  • Attend internal and external trainings and meetings
  • Understand overall eligibility requirements for government-sponsored health insurance programs
  • Maintain timely knowledge of government-sponsored health insurance program updates or changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Three years of health insurance enrollment experience is required
  • Quality assurance related experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support staff to improve application quality
  • Ability to develop activities to improve program quality
  • Strong attention to document details
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $45,000 per year
