Dentist (Part-Time Weekend) - ManhattanReports to: Dental Director125 Walker StreetNew York, New York, 10013United States Responsibilities:Diagnose, treat and maintain the oral cavity of both the hard and soft tissues and their related structure by usual customary dental practicesDiagnose and render high quality dental careConduct in-service training programs in oral health for the ancillary staff of the Dental Department, and for other Health Center staffTeach Oral Health Education, including preventive care and nutrition to patientsMaintain all dental records as prescribed by Dental Policy and Procedures ManualAssist in teaching dental staff specific dental procedures outlined in the Department's Procedures ManualAssist in oral health education activities at community agenciesAssist in ordering, receiving and storage of dental suppliesPerform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:Degree from accredited Dental School (DDS or DMD)License to practice dentistry in New York StateMust be a general dentist with at least 1 year experience and high competency in clinical dentistryCommitment to and knowledge of community health careGood organizational skills Knowledge of a second language (such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Korean, Spanish) preferred
